About the Artist

I have spent a lifetime telling stories through images. As a professional Director of Photography, my career has taken me through feature films and television, including Billy Madison, Heavyweights, Down Periscope, Veronica Mars, Firehouse Dog, Big Stan, and more than 300 episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles.

But long before filmmaking became my profession, I was drawn to the power of the still photograph. Photography has always been something very personal to me—a way to slow down, pay attention, and hold on to a moment that might otherwise disappear.

My years behind the motion-picture camera have shaped the way I see the world. I am always looking for light, atmosphere, composition, texture, and those small details that give a place its character. Whether I am photographing a landscape, an architectural detail, a quiet small town, or an unexpected moment while traveling, I try to create images that invite you to stop, look a little longer, and feel something of what I felt when I made the photograph.

After a career devoted to creating images for film and television, I now bring that same love of light and visual storytelling to my fine-art photography. For me, the camera has never simply been a tool—it is the way I see the world.
